Rebecca Onie on young volunteers and Project Health
posted by Citizen You Blog Team on April 28, 2010
15 years ago Rebecca Onie began her career in health services as a student volunteer in a hospital. Today, she is the founder and CEO of Project Health.
Project HEALTH places undergraduate students in "family help desks" in hospital waiting rooms. After visiting with physicans, families can visit the help desk to obtain information and couseling on resources they need to remain healthy.
In this new video, Rebecca talks about why she feels that young people — in particular college undergraduates — are in the right position to fill the volunteer gap in America.
